ABOUT GREENFIELD

Greenfield is an unlisted farming company operating some 23,500ha of productive New Zealand farmland on behalf of its institutional shareholders. In a typical year we:

• Finish 300,000 - 400,000 lambs
  
  
• Produce 250 tonnes of wool
  
  
• Export 5,000 - 10,000 head of premium live breeding cattle (Dairy and Beef)
  
  
• Cut 3953 tonnes KGDM of hay, silage and baleage
  
  
• Graze several thousand Dairy cows on behalf of dairy farm owners
  
  

As custodians of large amounts of land, Greenfield is keenly aware that our success is intimately entwined with the health and sustainability of our farming operations. You can read more about our environmental initiatives on the Sustainability Page, however some of the sustainable farming techniques used at Greenfield include:

• Direct Drilling to minimise erosion and carbon loss to the atmosphere
  
  
• No use of animal antibiotics or growth accelerants
  
  
• Full traceability for livestock
  
  
• Minimum application of nitrogen to pasture
  
  
• Minimum feeding out of energy intensive grain feeds
  
  
• 100% expansive pasture fed agriculture with no animal housing
  
  

Over the past 8 years Greenfield has evolved from New Zealand's leading agricultural investment fund manager to a substantial internally-managed agricultural operating company, and we are continuing that evolution towards becoming an internationally significant agricultural producer of premium food products

Whilst currently finishing between 1% and 2% of New Zealand lamb exports, Greenfield has ambitions to substantially increase its scale of operations over the coming years and is currently seeking investors interested in joining our growth story.
